What makes your heart sing? Well, for me it has to be the outdoors, and wildlife encounters. Living in the highlands, I am fortunate I get to encounter wildlife most days. Mostly deer, predominately red deer but also roe deer. The roe are much smaller and rather discreet. Once you are spotted, the roe deer often bounce off into the distance, taking great leaps, effortlessly covering the ground. Roe deer often stop to look at you, and in some cases, watch you until you disappear out of sight. Red deer are little more robust in attitude, when you are feeding them daily.
Weather has an impact
Today’s weather, although cold and frosty has been bright and sunny. Actually, there was a hint of spring in the air with the bright sunshine and clear blue skies.
