Supporting our Red Squirrels. We are fortunate to have regular visits from Red Squirrels. They visit the garden most days to feed on nuts, and sometimes they bury them. It’s not unusual to find a hazelnut sapling growing the following year in one of the large garden planters.

Supporting our Red Squirrels in the garden

The Red Squirrels will eat from their dedicated feeder and the munch on the seeds put out for the birds on the table. As you can see in the video, the red squirrel is happily chomping away on seeds. The squawking cock pheasant startles the squirrel and he takes off.
