Have you read Harry’s book?

It’s an easy one to answer. ‘No’. Will I ever read Harry’s book? Same answer. ‘No’. It’s been in the headlines, with contents leaked before it was officially published. Worldwide, there has been an incredible amount of interest in it. But really, who cares, and why should we?

Keep it private

The King was out and about on a visit to Aberdeenshire this week. It was his first royal engagement since the autobiography Spare was published (it was ghost-written by J.R. Moehringer). William and Kate were also out and about this week. A life in the public eye will never be easy. The Queen made it look easy but it must be a challenge for every Royal during their lifetime. However, a memoir written by a family member. The book delved into his childhood and growing up as a Royal, isn’t what any family would have hoped for. Many people over their lifetime may have had a struggle or some adversity to overcome. However, to come from a life of privilege and money it comes across as a badly acted out soap opera.

Future

Have you read Harry’s book? Spare will be long forgotten in a few years but what will happen when Harry’s children grow up? Will they also want to write books about growing up in a household where many intimate details are designated for global sharing. Perhaps it will conditioned into them from a young age. Family life in the spotlight is a standard and has potential to increase the family wealth. Will they dish the dirt on their mother and father. Maybe they will retell their teenage years of angst and family tension. Share their private, intimate experiences and cringeworthy details with a global audience.
