Nature always makes progress

Nature always makes progress throughout the year. Watching the local stags late last night, it was interesting to note increased antler growth. The May weather has been warm and the rainfall of April has not been replicated (so far!). Every living thing benefits from the warmer weather and a little rain. The hillside is greener with small pockets of colour and there’s a richness of tone that’s missing through the winter months. Wild flowers like wood anemones, are popping up and sharing their delicate flowers.

Nature’s growing season progress

The red deer stags are in an intense growing and transformation phase. Clumps of thick hair are falling out of their scruffy winter coats. It will soon to be replaced with by a summery short, sleek, red pelage. Nature always makes progress regardless of the weather but less extreme weather conditions nurture our flora and fauna and help it flourish. Trees have opened up their leaves. Gardeners will be mowing lawns on an almost weekly basis as grass commences its rapid summer growth. The garden bird tables have summer visitors, siskins and green finches, rarely seen in winter, are now daily visitors. Nature always makes progress.
