New Year new post. That’s the way it starts in 2024. We are four days in, and taking advantage of the quiet time to complete the annual joy that is self-assessment. January is a favourite month, it is exciting to be here and to have the year ahead, and although mostly organised, it’s still a task to plough through with the unappealing, dull accounts work. A morning dog walk is the best set up for a day at the desk. The weather of 2024 has been mixed, mostly rainy and mild, and all the variations imaginable from that combination. At the weekend the nights were partially clear. The stars twinkled and the moon appeared from behind the clouds and made it rather magical. We have had some snow but not much, however, the weather is predicted to get cooler by the third week of January. Hopefully, people will heed the good advice when they are exploring the hills and high grounds of Scotland.
